About Menagerie Recovery

MR Book 2
A project started in 1997 with the goal of recovering animal menageries around the world, and thus saving rare and endangered species. At this time, seven menageries dating from the nineteenth to the early twentieth centuries have been unearthed in the United States. The animals have been reunited and placed under the supervision of special caretakers to help tend to their precarious state.
